If a guy is wearing skinny jeans, he’s most likely a skater/rocker type like this dude here. Now I’m not usually attracted to this type but some girls are. I’m not sure about this look. I don’t particularly like guys wearing jeans that are meant to show off curves and leg, it’s quite feminine. I like the baggier jean look on my men. A fitted jean is okay but nothing super tight and stretchy and especially not on guys who have skinny legs like mine! lol
What is your take on it? These below don’t look so bad.
Only because their legs aren’t too skinny and they aren’t super tight plus their cool boots n shoes kinda make it more masculine. But these below, with converse, not a fan!
I have to say that I disagree entirely. I think a guy in skinny leg jeans is absolutely gorgeous. Especially like the ones directly above (and especially with a pair of black converse!!!). At least, when he has the figure, I do NOT think that guys with bigger, more muscular legs should wear them. Same goes for girls though in my opinion, if you’re legs and but aren’t skinny, don’t wear jeans that are made for that body type. It just looks freaky.
But then, I have a personal weakness for all things “emo”-ish, so I guess I’m slightly biased. (I’m not sure how I feel about the term “emo” though. I think it makes it sound superficial. It takes away from the seriousness of the situations of those who truly are “emo.” Sorry, that’s a different subject all together, I’ll stop ranting now.)

the skinnier ones with the converse look a lot better. they should never be worn with boots.

The top picture with the smoker and the bottom picture with the converse are what skinnies should look like; and they look good. The picture in the middle shows some really horrid combinations – shirts tucked into skinnies on men who don’t have the figure to wear them, and horridly matched footwear.
I love skinny jeans on guys, especially when they have super skinny legs to me. But then again I love the skater/ scene/ hardcore look, which most girls I know don’t..
Oh, just a note, I personally believe that skinny legs should NEVER be rolled up at the bottom. Especially to such a strange height as the one in the second picture. If it’s a girl, then I think it’s okay to roll them up to capri (spell?) length, but on a guy it should never happen. Frankly, that particular height looks like, “Hello there, you see my ankles? You like my ankles? I has sexy ankles. Don’t you think?” *insert cheesy alpha-male smile here* Yeah. No.
Also a note, I don’t think people should wear white skinnys. Not unless they’re bone skinny themselves.

I absolutely love skinny jeans. I’ve been wearing them for about a year now and love them. I do believe that skinny jeans are for SKINNY people, or else they would be called fat jeans. People who say skinny people should not be wearing skinny jeans because they are skinny must be stupid. Just my opinion.
I’m not real skinny but I bought a pair of skinny and they seem to fit fine. I have a pair of skecher biker type boots but hesitate to tuck my jeans in them because here you only see girls with jeans tucked in. Any suggestions?

I for one, prefer more of a classic style. I like straight leg jeans or slightly tapered for myself for the same reasons everyone else seems to point out… body type. I also am sick of low-rise jeans or dudes who wear their pants halfway down their arse.

you can’t go wrong in a pair of jeans THAT FIT, a nice button down shirt layered with a tee-shirt underneath, and a sick pair of shoes. i even wear converse in the summer. I get compliments on my dress all the time and i am not a slave to trends… just a slave to fashion in general.

I disagree this post entirely.. I’m a guy who always wear skinny jeans, I’m asian i’m skinny and a rocker, i have a rock band and i skate too. I’m a big fan of skinny jeans.. the jeans that you said don’t look so bad (picture at the middle) were worst for me ,really, and look more feminine or gay especially the one that rolled up at the bottom and wears pink shoes, that’s horrible.

It’s not only for rockers and skaters. I’m a guy who wear skinny jeans but I don’t those things. Those who don’t disagree with skinny jeans most likely are fat, or, definitely don’t know a thing about fashion.

Skinny jeans just look cleaner and much more professional than baggy jeans and I don’t mean like rail thin jeans but slimmer cut looks cleaner, Im 19 and I’ve been wearing slim jeans forever, even during the baggy jeans phase that my age group went through, and I’m not one of those god awful hypebeasts who wear red jeans with zebra stripes… I wear slim fit jeans with my other slim fit clothes

I’d rather see guys wearing their jeans too tight on occasion than super baggy. At least a tight jean looks neater. Young men and teens can have a very put-together look by wearing skinny jeans, a blazer, and t-shirt.

I have green and peacock blue and yellow and white; you said you hate white, but I wear them primarily with blue print shirts and I think they look great.
This post is quite old but very popular! If I have to give my opinion now, I would say that I definitely don’t like guys in super baggy jeans, never did. I think guys look great in a fitted jean, it definitely looks more pulled together. I think what I meant to say when I wrote this post, was that I prefer a man with a little more meat on his legs! Maybe the most important point here is how skinny guys should dress. Some women have a type that they’re attracted to (or not interested in), and that’s fine, but if you’re a guy without a lot of meat on your bones, how do you work with that to look appealing?
I’ve been skin and bones all my life. Since 2009, I’ve been wearing tops and pants a lot more fitted/tighter, and I’ve only had positive comments. In other words, I’ve heard “I like that shirt because it makes you look sexy” IRL but I haven’t heard “you shouldn’t wear that because it makes you look too skinny.” If you want to create a new post, it should be this: even though the skinny/lanky guy is not your preference, what can/should he do to look his best, and what are turnoffs when you see a skinny guy? (having to do with how he’s dressed and not just his body type)
I’d return to the blazer again. Layering adds bulk and hides skinny arms. Skinny jeans on the bottom just make the chest and torso look bigger. (It’s all a matter of proportion, right?)
